How's that 4x160 point shot feel CoolGav? :) I suddenly seem to be much further from you, what do you think? :) There is also this XP 2000+ coming to help. So you will overtake me, but not as soon as you'd think. :P

Yeah, I'm #10, for 6 days, when wgragg is going to dump me back to #11.

ColdFlame and CoolGav are up to #32 and #34 respectively. Less than 600 points separate them.

dasman is up to #39

NullObject is closing in on #50

D_Baily continues his meteoric ascent through the ranks, now at #59

captain_andriod is up to #63

BMW just broke into the Top 100 a few days ago, and is already up to #86

Kemokim has passed aston, at #93 and #94 respectively.

Ogre1384 is Top 100 bound in just a couple more days

Grokker, at #110, will be joining him in just about one week

It's too soon to tell, but I see some new names on page 3, making some big moves:
bcassell
Caratcus
bill_amer - not a new name, but has not been active in several weeks.
Unbound

I knew it was too good to be true, cruising right up behind you like that... Now I'm bogged down, and should get a boost to close the gap soon. Actually I'm glad to have the competition, becuase it makes folding more entertaining. I wonder if I will be able to creep past before I start turning off PCs as the weather improves. Perhaps its time to explain to my finacée why she should leave our HTPC on 24/7...

How do you store up WUs to then submit them all at once?

I've past the 10000 point mark :D, only just before sthayashi catches me.

Now onwards to the top 50!

I seem to have picked up a tow after David Bailey stormed past and have now added NullObject to my conquest list. Should put up more of a fight than Rev. Pete and his flock did

Indeed, the 160 point gromacs are killing me. I've got 4 processors working on them. I'm gonna get a BIG speed boost when the 550s finish with theirs ......oh next week.

Well, since my name was mentioned I guess I'll make the jump from lurking to posting =).

I'll spare you all the standard first post mantra (I've been lurking for a while... helped a ton... new computer awesome... etc =)) and just say that I've got an A64 3000+, a P4 2.8, and a dual p3 @ 933mhz system running folding 24/7. (Though the p4, and to some extent the a64, are under pretty heavy use for a lot of the day, so I'm sure that slows folding down a bit)..

I might be able to get a couple more computers going, but they're all old/slow (p3 450, duron 600, etc). I wish I could run it on all our work computers (~8 p4 2.8's, ~10 p4 2.2-2.5's, ~5 older comps), but it looks like that's not going to happen for several reasons.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks to everyone at SPCR,

Bryan

Bryan,

This is only slightly (less than 1 day) premature but welcome to page 2 dude. Looks like you will be contributing 1K points per week or more to the cause. That's fantastic!

I'm glad you take our local competition in a friendly fashion! I'm all for staying friends and picking on each other if the heart desires.

It just so happened that my "offline" folder (dual Xeon 2.2, which I most likely won't be using anymore) has gotten 4x160 pts WUs and completed them over the weekend. So I submitted them all on Monday.

I've really hit a limit on my productivity. I only have space for 4 PCs in my room and I've hit the ceiling already. So you'll be passing me eventually.

BTW I will be shutting down my PCs are well because it will hit 90 in my house for 2-3 weeks some time in July-August. And we don't have A/C here (PNW) so I'm gonna have to shut 'em down. All I want is for my mail server to survive that :)

Looks like me and 1911user will be close for a while. Tomorrow my athlon 1000 will finally finish a gromac it's been crunching since saturday, and hopefully help keep me ahead.

YIKES, wgragg is hot on my tail. I could pretend he was further away than he really was when he was a few places back, but with the next update, he is going to be RIGHT BEHIND ME, but not for long, because he will soon be in front of me. I better enjoy being #10 because it's not going to last for long.

NullObject is #50! Congrats!

Ogre1384 is at #101, but will be at #100 later today.

ARM Systems had a production spike today - 2204 points!

Well, if you can't keep that Xeon folding away then it looks like I can sneak past, but there's nothing to say we're not both going to be climbing the ranks closeley... Somehow I've managed to get up to 6 PCs in my room folding away, and I really shouldn't upgrade any or add to that. I am loosing space because 3 of them are sitting in the middle of the room - but then I'm used to a bit of clutter!

How do you connect your 6 PCs to the monitors? My KVM switch has only 4 inputs.

Also, do you have issues with your electric lines overloading? I'm afraid that if I connect more than 4 PCs to a single electric line it will cause fire or shut off.

Just curious, what PCs you have? Mine are in the sig so we can predict the outcome just based on that :)

That's a great big "it depends". On your wiring, and on your PC's. A typical U.S. circuit will handle 15 amps or 1800 watts. That's the total load on that circuit. Then it's a question of how much power each of your PC's is drawing. A really handy tool for measuring that is a Kill-A-Watt, available at Radio Shack for around $35. For example, my blades each draw around 120 to 130 watts, so I know that I can handle 7 on a single circuit with no problem, even if there are some other devices on the same circuit. I haven't tripped the breaker yet.

Same deal here. I've got 5 boxes plugged into one outlet on a 20 amp circuit which should be about 6 or 7 amps. No problems. So far.

Mr Bill says "Oh nooooooooo" - wgragg is now BREATHING DOWN MY NECK. I knew it would happen, but now there is nobody between him and me. I could pretend he wasn't there when he was behind Cosine. Oh well. Go get 'em wgragg!

Zyzzyx has climbed to 19th and will be up to 18th in just a couple of days

dasman is up two more notches to #37

D_Bailey is up two more rungs (and a total of 28 for the week already)

captain_android, sthayashi, BMW, Kemokim, and aston have also made upward moves today.

Moving to page 3 (after which I will come back to page 2), I'd like to highlight a few of our newest folders:

Equiquay is up 14 today to #209

Geckofiend is up 21 today to #225

Lots of other activity there too, from the likes of samwc912, BubbaSlash, Spooooon, hatr, Phatdaddy2, Zinj, and rick

Page 2 is one of my favorite places to hang out, because I consider it a key indicator. Our last big batch of recruits have almost all moved to page 1, leaving page 2 looking somewhat empty, so it's heartening to see three folders make their appearance on page 2 today:

bcassell is now on page 2, up 98 places this week!

edcrane is up 17 today

1911user is up 31 today!

Michael_qrt is up 13 today to #163

As always, there are too many to mention, so my apologies to those I have overlooked.

Criminy... I guess these things happen when you ignore the stats and just let things go.

Well, I also have a 4 port KVM, and 2 monitors. 2 of the PCs aren't connected to either the KVM or a monitor (ie running headless). I use ssh to do anything on them.
Also, do you have issues with your electric lines overloading? I'm afraid that if I connect more than 4 PCs to a single electric line it will cause fire or shut off.
They're not all off the same wall socket, which in the UK is 13A at ~230V.
Just curious, what PCs you have? Mine are in the sig so we can predict the outcome just based on that :)

Dang, zyzzyx, did you gain weight? Your butt looks bigger!

Of course that means that our positions have just changed and now that's the only view I have of you :x

Welcome to the teens, even if you knocked me out of them to get there!

wragg has STILL not passed me, but it should happen within the next couple of updates. If it happens yet tonight, it would leave only 3 in the Top 11 not changing positions today!

D_Bailey will be overtaking NullObject any minute now for 50th place. The difference is just 14 points.

Looks like bill_amer has gotten serious about folding. Pete's dad will be in the Top 200 with his next credited WU.

edcrane continues to fly up the charts, up 6 more today, to #188

Four "blue" folders that are flying up the charts on page 2 are SGreiwe, bcassell, 1911user, and Equiquay, at #123, #162, #166, and #168 respectively. These four bare watching, as all are doing over 1K points per week.

Come ON Wendell, put me out of my misery already. You are dragging this out something terrible. It borders on cruelty, it does.

Speaking of merciful and quick, that's how D_Bailey is handling everyone in his path.

Jason, he of the EOC Stats, has suggested a one-on-one page, where you could enter two names and it would show graphs and dates and whatnot. I think a graph of D_Bailey and dasman would be good. BMW and Kemokim. Grokker and mobquet. How about a four-way with SGreiwe, bcassell, 1911user, and Equiquay?

wgragg has FINALLY passed me. 'bout time!

Welcome to page 2 bill_amer and samwc912

hosssaaa completed a 160 pointer today and leaped 49 places in the rankings today!

bubban also finished a 160 pointer today, pushing him up 22 places to #236

Shad0 has averaged 45 points per day over the last four days, which could put him on page 2 in about a week.

zuperdee completed a 160 pointer today, pushing him up to #172

bcassell has had two strong days in a row - 418 and 344. Is this a new trend?

Beep beep

Yes, that's my horn. ;)

Somehow I managed to reach 50k points. Crazy.

Also I seem to have hit some crazy amount of production. Only added one more system at work, but I'm currently #9 on production, approaching the old grail of 5000ppw. Geez.

Ok... I think I'll go back into hibernation from the stats page again. Maybe when I wake up it will be at 100k points.

Zyzzyx, and you are now up to #18 and could be #17 in another three weeks. You are now "Maroon", along with Frank_Condron, CharlieChan, and even bkh!

Come back in 75 days. At your present rate, you will be at 100K then.

We'll see =).

It's actually a combination of two things:

1) I finally have all my machines up and running folding. It was kind of a slow process to get them all going at full steam.

2) When I'm not working (the weekends) my work machine (p4 2.8) folds much faster =).

Is my tussle with ColdFlame over (at least for now)? A 300 point lead is only a couple of the big proteins. I have 60% of my processors with them, but they're not completing anytime soon :(

I'm #30  Image

Congrats dude! I stopped folding on my server (because it is just wrong) and stopped my other folder because it is now doing something else. Which leaves me with p3 1 Ghz and AMD 3500+

It was also very hot yesterday and my CPUs hit 60C so I stopped folding completely. We'll see where I end up. I'm definitely losing passion for this though.
