I've had this song for days in my head, keep hearing it all over again. The place on my HDD where this song is stored must look like a crater now. I found a place... see what where we can boogie... I mean? [high pitched mode] yeahhh!.
Great God, here it comes again...
Awesome, I just heard it on the plane trip here (on vacation in the states right now)

nici, you might be jealous to know how much cheaper you can get records here than in europe (or atleast than germany). Just bought 22 Singles for $11.91.... I hope I have room in my suitcase :D
Kinda funny walking home from the record store with this huge bundle under my arm, I saw this chick with an iPod in her hand, and it occurred to me that she probably had 100 times the music in a package 100 times smaller.

EDIT: forgot to write what the $%#& I was listening to....

Im not surprised at all, most stuff is a lot cheaper in the states.. Cars and petrol in particular. My cousin almost got mugged when he mentioned the incredibly cheap petrol to a local who thought it had become too expensive, apprently unaware of the fact it costs four times more in europe.

I love vinyls, and im sure they will become much more popular within a few years. Possibly even return to normal record stores :)

I don't usually buy singles unless they have remixes or bonus tracks. So i just ordered four The Sounds singles, two each. 7" Tony The Beat in black and yellow, Tony The Beat 12" limited edition, and Queen Of Apology +remix. The most recent edition of Dying To Say This To You has a remix of it by Fall Out Boy so i assume it's that.

I have mad periods when i only listen to one band for several weeks and then calm down. Usually that happens when i find a new band, sometimes it happens with bands i've listened to for years. Like now.

If you have MTV you can watch them perform at Bam Margeras wedding along with Iggy and the Stooges. No wait that was three days ago in the states, and i don't have MTV. Apparently i can watch it over at the MTV site, Maja sounded drunk and the editing was crap so just forget about it

You've probably seen and heard her in the song from Snakes on a Plane already.

I've thought about buying an iPod.. for the car. Now i have the car full of original CDs, which is obviously not good, and im too lazy to copy them for the car. An iPod would solve that since i could have my entire collection in the car and control it from the headunit :)

Yes im very much bored and i should be sleeping. Insomnia is sucky suckyy.

The Sounds

7AM here. I downloaded the UK version of the record which has the Fall Out Boy remix, and it actually made me sick. It wasn't just bad, it sounded like it was in drug induced slow motion and had i continued listening to it i would have had partly digested ryebread and emmentaler on my keyboard. The Rex The Dog remix of Tony The Beat wasn't much better.. Too bad, both are great songs in original form. Tony The Beat was on Rolling Stone magazines top 100 songs of 2006, not that i pay much attention to charts really.

I won't be using this thread as my personal blog of boredom next week, im driving 14 hours north to lapland between sunday and monday and i'll stay there until the end of the week.

GENE VINCENT - RACE WITH THE DEVIL

The Sounds - S.O.U.N.D.S. live on warped tour ´04. I still think their charisma is amazing, it almost brings a tear to my eye :P I hope this thing is on the DVD i ordered...

And now i really do need to hit myself in the head with a sledgehammer.

I recently heard a song that mixed the chorus from "I just wanna be with you" song (don't know the real title) and Sting's "Shape of My Heart". I felt like I was cheated! There was nothing new in that one, only maybe the chick who sang it was bustier than other "artists" like her. Can't nobody write a NEW song today that'll match the good, old ones?

Now I understand what a cover is and I don't mind. I also recently heard a hard-rock version of Phill Collin's "Land of Confusion" - it was great, I like it a lot. But it just seems to me that thousands of today's pop (pulp?) music uses old melodies and tunes. Blech...

Oh, one thing that really p... me off recently - a song (R'n'B style, don't you know) that used this v old, classical music theme from "Ave Maria" or some such tune you play at funerals (at least around here). Or weddings. Bah, same thing anyway, only number of burried people is different...
Back to topic - I refuse to even acknowledge the kind of music that blatantly uses (abuses!) classical hits!

Why is it that only moronic hip-hop or R'n'B "artists" cheat that way? Mmmgggffrrrr, I so hate it

I love a good cover tho. Today's fave is Planet Caravan by Pantera.

Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby

damn, this 866MHz 256MB PowerBook G4 is too slow to stream vids off youtube.... so that means the laptop I get pretty much has to be Core (2) Duo.... I was considering getting something older...... but I guess that leaves me with the 15" MacBookPro...

Are there any laptops with good sound cards? Or do I have to buy an external one?

In case you think I'm an aging boomer fuddy-duddy (I'm only in my late 30s), on my commute home I was listening to The Crane Wife by The Decemberists, the Repo Man soundtrack and "I Like F*cking" by Bikini Kill. :D

Ry Cooder - Cotton Needs Pickin'

I just got up and was about to watch the recorded F1 race from this morning when my mom told me Räikkönen was third. Kind of takes the excitement out of it. Im goign to watch it anyway though, after i eat lasagne for breakfast.

Rhapsody (of Fire) - The Magic of The Wizard's Dream (French Version)
Now, Luca Turilli - Demonheart.

Good Stuff, Luca Turrilli's amazing at the gee-tar, Dragonforce is pretty cool too. That reminds me... I need to buy the newest Dreamquest album.

Note: in this playlist I also have a ton of classical music.

What I'm not listening to: rap (or my computer, hallelujah!)
