Network Bandwidth Monitor

Post by Fat_bloater_dave » Thu May 01, 2008 4:12 am

Hi there,
I'm looking for some sort of software that will monitor the net usage for each computer on a network and report it back to one usage, so something that can simply tell me at the end of a day, week, month how much bandwidth each computer on my network has used.

Thank you very much for any help.

Dave

I'm also interested in such a program but I don't think it exists. I even called up my router manufacturer (Linksys) and they told me no such proprietary software exists. They couldn't suggest any third party software either.

If you have a router that's amenable to flashing with DD-WRT or then you can use rflow or similar I think. That may do what you're wanting to do.

Any linux computer can easily do that for all the traffic that goes through it.

BWMeter can do this : pool the Net usage from other computers.
Check the "Remote" tab.
