I'm amazed at what people will do to seek attention.

I apologize for spreading propaganda. That function is fully served by the current administration.

I though they used a heat gun or something, and that the popcorn acually popped. So they got me half-fooled at least. :)

Heh. Cellphone ERP (effective radiated power) is limited to 600mW. It should also be noted that this radiation is omnidirectional. Microwave ovens, on the other hand, have a power output of 600w+, and this radiation is very directional and concentrated into a small space. It's not like a cell phone, where only a fraction of the radiation would be absorbed by the water in the corn kernels. In a microwave, all of that energy is being absorbed by the food.

tl;dr: The video is total BS. :)

EDIT: Looks like 600mW is for analog, and 2W is the limit for digital. Truth be told I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff, I just know you can't make popcorn with a few cell phones. :P

It takes a lot of energy to pop a kernel of corn.

How much energy does it take to pop a neuron?

I had no intention of spreading lies.

I appreciate your humanitarian outlook, Bud.

hahahaha !!!!!!!!
good video and not a bad editing job :)
Now I understand why some people feel concerned lol
I'm surprised thay haven't tried the same BS with trains for example, since their is so much power going throuhg the power lines. The electromagnetic field is quite big and should at least cook a dozen eggs and medium size popcorn from the movie theater :D

For God's sake, don't start them on microwaves. They will punish you severely with a misunderstanding of electromagnetism.

Tin foil was invented for a reason. Just wrap your mobile phone in it and you'll be fine.
