hello, i am having a problem where the usb ports on the monitor become unresponsive after the monitor has been turned off and on again. i am now running my optical drive from the monitor's usb power so this can be very annoying, they only way i have been able to get it back seems to be rebooting .. has anyone had and fixed this issue before?
(it's a dell 3008wfp and windows xp)

When you say "turned off" do you mean turned off or just put into standby by Windows? If you do mean turned off, do you have the same problem with standby?

i mean turned off with the power button. the standby power consumption is unnecessarily high with this product , and there is a bright orange LED which i don't like when i'm trying to sleep.. have not noticed whether the problem happens in standby or not but i'll check when i get home from work
