Uploading picture size

I tried to upload pictures but they were too large. What is the maximum picture size that can be uploaded? This is for jpeg images.

Not sure. This site was originally set up for 1280x1024 monitors
I bet if you scale the pictures to less than a 1080p display, say 1000x1800 pixels, it'd work.

I tried reducing it to 1000 x 1333 and it still won't upload. Next I'll try 800 x whatever and see what happens.

I tried 800 x 1066 and that also didn't work--too large. One more time and I'll try 600 x whatever.

Well that didn't work either. Next, one very last time with 400 x whatever.

Well, it let me upload an 83kB image, but not a 400kB one.

Messing around some more, I think the file size limit is 250kB.
