7900GT and 8600GTS cooler compatibility?

I plan to use my Aerocool VM 102 cooler, from my dead 7900gt, on a 8600GTS. Is it compatible?

In case it doesn't fit, what cooler should i use for 8600gts?

Do you already have the 8600GTS? If not, why don't you just get a passive one?

Because i can get only eVGA ones, my 7900GT was also an eVGA and it died and the shop i bought from doesn't have 7900GT, so it replaces mine with a 8600GTS, also eVGA.

Ah, I see. Well, that page says it's compatible with "all VGA cards," so the odds are good it'll fit. If not, the HR-03 is supposed to be compatible:
