GTX 1050 review compilation thread
GTX 1050 2GB - In brief: good 1080p card for lighter weight games. May need to dial down textures for 2GB RAM. 1080p performance is ~10% faster than RX 460, slightly slower than GTX 960 and ~22% slower GTX 1050 Ti. 75W TDP, but OEM stock OC'ed cards may use yy-zzW at stress loads. DVI is digital only. DisplayPort is 1.2 certified and 1.3/1.4 ready as well as HDMI 2.0b compatible. No SLI.

Tom's Hardware
Didn't THG actually tested/reported just the Ti 4Gb version?

One short comment re. MSI 1050 Gaming X 2G and TechpowerUp review: They measured 3-4W of power consumption of the GPU card. Unfortunately it's not true. With iGPU my whole system in idle Windows 10 (5 minutes after boot) consumes 17W, with MSI 1050 Gaming X card it is 24W. Leds are switched off, silent mode on.

Yep, 6-10W idle power is typical for gfx cards these days.

Re: GTX 1050 review compilation thread
At $100-110, the GTX 1050 is an optimal entry-level video card. Most cheaper cards are significantly weaker in performance and are not a good value. Builders with a larger budget may want to upgrade to the 1050 Ti or the 1060 (3 GB), but in each case, those cards offer a proportional increase in performance relative to their price.
The 1050 is roughly comparable to the Playstation 4's graphical performance. It can get 60+ frames per second on low-budget, indie and e-sport games, but can play big-budget titles at roughly 30 frames. It will remain a decent video card before it becomes obsolete at the very end of the decade. For video editing as a living or a passion, try to go for a stronger card.
