Can AeroCool Fanless VGA Cooler Cool 5900 Ultra?

Post by STL » Fri Mar 31, 2006 12:41 pm

I found this AeroCool fanless VGA cooler : http://www.directron.com/vm101.html : could this be used on a Nvidia 5900 Ultra without underclocking? On this seller site it says : "VM-101 is compatible with ALL VGA cards." However the package at Compusa says "Compatible with Nvidia 5900 and ATI 9800 Pro." It says 5900 but nothing about Ultra, so do you think this is worth a try? Will it work? Thanks in advance. :)

Be careful 5900 ultras run way hot - A Zalman zm80 -d will not cool one without a fan . So I very much doubt that that one would . VF-700 cu does though , but is not fanless .

5900 Ultra definitely not. Maybe 5900 XT, in a case with very good airflow.
