Maybe it is aimed at the BTX case folks...
It seems that a BTX form factor would be about the only configuration in which you'd want to use this card. The heatpipe would be upside-down otherwise (e.g. the condensing would occur below the GPU block and the condensate would never hit the GPU block). If they have something that will promote capillary action within the tube it might work, but I wouldn't want to risk it.
