Undervolting an Arctic Cooler NV Silencer

Post by HatFace » Tue May 01, 2007 7:17 am

I am trying to replace the fan on my PNY Quadro FX 540 card, and am leaning towards an Arctic Cooler NV Silencer 1.

The Silencer 1 has a two pin connector which seems compatible with my card, but the card only outputs 7 volts. So will the Silencer 1 run on the 7 volts from the card, or will I need to connect it to the PSU?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have a silencer 1 that's probably running somewhere between 5-7v, I'd say it's safe to assume that 7v will be fine.
