I find the standard VF900-Cu fan quiet enough, though it gets noticeable at high RPM. But if you're into gaming, as the overclocking suggests, you can just leave it be: it's not a pitched or annoying sound that would distract you from a game's soundscape. It's also very easy to install and not too expensive. There are beefier and quieter options available, but this one's been good enough for me... plus it doesn't outweigh a small truck.
Works on my 7800GT both as a quiet and gaming cooler.

Wearing headphones all the time isn't really healthy, but that's not the issue here.
A beefier sample would be a Thermalright HR-03 Plus for example. You get to choose the fan and it's a lot heavier, which should spell better cooling. I'm guessing you're swapping to get better cooling and nicer noise character.
