I just got back into the PC market after my beast of 8 years just wasn’t cutting it anymore… that and my “kick assâ€

VF700 should be much quieter.

However... You can probably get away with a slab of aluminum on the GPU core.

check out the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 Rev. 2 VGA Cooler. i picked it up on clearance at svc for $10!! cools great, cant even hear it! its not listed as officially fitting, but it matched up perfectly on my card that originally came with the passive cooler. dropped the temps down by over 10C too! i also read several others doing the same thing, as this is how i originally found out about the cooling solution!

most 7600gs' sold come stock with single slot passive coolers on them. i have two, both from different companies (msi and xfx) and both are came stock passive.

7600gs is probably the best 3d card on the market right now for small and silent computer systems. They are small enough to fit into almost any enclosure, and you can get them with stock single slot passive cooling solutions.
