Nvidia 8400 vs Ati 2400

Which of these two cards would be better for a htpc and a x264 playback.

Generally peoples consider Ati's multimedia properties better than nVidia's. I'd probably take HD 2400 unless your budget is enough for some cheap HD 2600 series card.
