Looks like a killer, about time Thermalright released a lower-profile cooler for high-end cards...

I wonder how thick those fins are. They're all supposedly soldered to the heatpipes but even the marketing shots show bend finds directly over where they would be soldered.

Hello,

They look like they're soldered -- they can be both flared and soldered, I think.

Well if you look at the side shot, it appears that only a few are spaced unevenly, so I don't believe it was intentional.

They're probably soldered...maybe this was just a prototype, so not everything's 100% perfect.

It looks like it will be an excelent cooler, but it is a poor deisgn for passive use by comparison to the Arctic Cooling S1, although with a fan or 2 I expect it to be a better cooler.

whats the point of 6 heatpipes if they are all right next to each other on the fins? (theres no space b/w them to spread out the heat)

compatible with the ATi 48xx Series, and lighter than the HR-03 line of coolers.

Very nice!

Damn! I thought there was a limit on image sizes in the forums? How about thumbnails and links off the board guys?

Intriguing looking product.

Is this a single-slot heatsink if not using fans? That's pretty impressive (if true).

Does anyone know when it's gonna be available? I want one when I pick up my HD4870 :)

no more wrap around to backside of the card huh? looks almost identical to a S1, though it'll probably still be twice as much. I wonder if its even better.

No it doesnt. its much smaller, thinner, has poor heatpipe placements and has much tighter fin placement, meaning that you'll very likely need a fan (or very good case airflow), which negates the single slot design.

Yeah... It looks NOTHING like an S1.

Here's the first review I've found, it's in chinese, but google translator helps and images speak by themselves.

wow. if that review is accurate....its beating the HR-03 handily! (thought T-Rad was tested with 2x 92mm fans).

I thought it would be a good cooler, but not that good.

Anyhoo...would be nice to find a pair of low profile 92mm fans for this. Review seems to indicate it cools better if more fins have airflow.

This test says nothing due to the fact they havn't tested the No.1 competitor. You can assume they were forbidden to do so.

I'd like to see how it does against Accelero S1...

I also miss a head to head against the Accelero S1 rev2 (it'd be also nice the Accelero Twin Turbo), but it the first review available, and as they state in the last sentence of their review: "We previously tested from the radiator cards, not in a performance with the T-Rad 2 comparable to, who can challenge from T-Rad 2? The real answer, please pay close attention to our "12 in the peak of confrontation between the high-end graphics radiator."

So it seems that they are preparing a review with the T-Rad 2 and the 11 coolers in that picture:

Has anyone noticed the pic of the HR-03 sitting comfortably around the T-rad2? With the T-rad2's heat spreader so close to the front of the unit, looks like Trad + HR-03 could fit on a Radeon 4870X2

God, I just can't wait anymore, I hope they don't delay this thing again. It's going to be so perfect in my PC-A16 with the expansion slot fan venting over it.

With any luck, that fan mounting hardware that impedes airflow will be easily removed.

Oh, by the way, I did get confirmation from Thermalright that it works along with the HR-11.
