9600GT with Accelero S1 Rev. 2 -- One question
As I have understood it: Arctic Cooling doesn't supply any heatsinks that fit the 9600GT voltage regulators (marked as red)
- Will this be a problem?

Although it's regarding the 8800GT(S), the 9600GT is fairly similar in design and power usage;
This was taken from Arctic Cooling's Compatibility page for the Accelero S1 Rev. 2, regarding 8800GT / 8800GTS (G92) Installation Tips:
"The card doesn't need voltage regulator heat sinks to operate. We tested that the card just ran flawlessly without voltage regulator heat sinks."
So apparently AC agrees that additional VRM cooling isn't necessary.

I have an eVGA 9600 GT running without any ram or vrm heatsinks at all - I do have a noctua 12cm fan strapped to the heatsink (S2) though running at ~650rpm.
So far no problems at all and I had this setup up and running for a couple of months now with room temperatures hitting up to 27c all the while (hottest time of the year here)

i had the exact same problem you have, but there's no issue.
that's how the S1 fits the card, minus the plastic junk on the cooler. there's no saying if there's actually a difference without the plastic, but i think that it looks better in my system.
(i also have the original revision of the ECS 9600GT, so thats why the PCB is green and not blue)

Thanks for the info. I have been running mine for some hours now, and temps are great. The card idle at around 41°C (50°C + before)
As you can see on the pic, the card is perfectly located at the side-went of my NSK4000 case.
BTW, after 10-15 min I heard two clicking noises inside the case, I paniced and thought it would blow up, but I soon figured out the real problem...
Bad glue on the small sinks. Should I superglue them? Or maybe live with out them all completely?
