Cost to operate 4870

Would a 4870 cost significantly more to operate on a per year basis than the 260 since it uses close to 50 more watts at idle? Is the cost savings enough to be significant?

The difference is more like 20W according to Xbitlabs.

I don't think the cost savings would be significant, but that's a bit subjective. It also depends on how much you pay for electricity and how often the system is idle.

Power consumption while idle means a lot to me, but for me it's more a matter of principle than a cost consideration.
