Acer V233Hb 23" LCD - Noisy?

So I'm thinking about picking this monitor up to replace my now 5-year-old 17" 4:3 Hansol but have had a look around online and some people have reported a strange buzz at certain brightness levels. I'm used to a completely silent monitor/setup and this has made me think twice.

Do any of our fine SPCR patrons have any experience with this particular model or Acer as a brand?

Samsung, LG and ASUS are extremely great now in the LCD business. I have an ASUS panel and it is SLICK and SICK crazy. Very bright and vivid colors yet no buzzing sounds. Really good for movies and text editing.

I have an Acer X223W. It only whines when on a lower brightness setting. There are 5 built in modes (text, pictures, manual, standard, movie) and the standard (I think) is the one where teh brightness is the highest, most of the other ones the brightness is quite low, and those whine.

So if you want an Acer run it at high brightness.

don't know if that monitor has problems, but this http://www.silentpcreview.com/stop_lcd_whine solved the problems i had with a whining lcd monitor (viewsonic vx2255)

Out of interest, LodeHacker, which Asus model do you have? I also notice you're from Finland too, so where did you get it?
