Fanless PCIe Card Help

Post by jamsponge » Wed Jul 08, 2009 6:15 am

Hi,

I don't know anything about graphics card and typing "Fanless PCIe Graphics Card" into Google really doesn't help so I wondered if anyone could help me.

What is a good, not necessarily the absolute best in performance at the moment, and fanless graphics card. The on board graphics is great on my new pc but just doesn't cut it for games. Noise of my system is most important to me so even a low noise card won't do.

Thanks

If you want some gaming ability with a stock fanless cooler, there's really only 1 option currently: The ATI Radeon HD 4670. If you wait a while, some fanless HD 4770 cards are coming out in the next month or two. The 4770 might consume a bit more wattage, but puts out about 50% more video performance than the 4670. Some power draw results are available in the stickies here, and both cards are discussed in depth in individual threads here.

There is a fanless 4850 from Gigabyte if you don't want to wait on the 4770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814125258
