Non-Reference 5770 shown but not available or advertised...

Post by ~El~Jefe~ » Thu Nov 05, 2009 7:09 am

I duno why inquirer/fudzilla/hexus press release the fanless 5750 but not the Non-Reference 5770 which is now the first of its kind.

AX5770 1GBD5-MDHV2

the v2 is the key here. I see heatpipes and no retarded suffocator shroud!

It’s an imaginary country that more and more Americans pretend to come from when going abroad due to the rest of the world quickly catching on to which countries are actually part of the axis of evil.

Looks like HIS is selling one with the same cooler. Newegg (For a better look, see the rotational view on Newegg, or the HIS product page.)

But this other PowerColor looks to have a better non-reference cooler. techPowerUp

Yeah, I JUST saw this one. It JUST came out.

Damn. well, that's life. I am going to ravage the card anyways I decided and put it into my zalman reserator loop. I was hoping for some already-stuck-on vrm and ram cooling. I see that's not happening on these boys. I bought Enzotech's big copper ram sinks and those long, tiny vrm sinks. I think it will be a champ, havent put it together yet.

The PowerColor looks like the GPU might be far enough back for an Accelero S1 or so.

yes, worst volume on a card in a long time.

my x1900 AIW pro was really annoying but I think it was quieter. So easy to change HS/F on these that it shouldnt matter to anyone buying one though.

Do either of you two above have the 5770 with the shroud cooler or the egg cooler?

HIS flipped egg cooler

HIS have a 5770 with a changed pcb making the gpu further out and the egg cooler flipped around.
What are the chances an accelero s1 would fit straight onto that without modifications?
