Anyone spotted a true single-slot HD 5750/5770 yet?

They make noise, too.

Has anyone spotted an HD 5750 or 5770 with a true single-slot cooler or an aftermarket single-slot heatsink compatible with these cards?

Why would you want a single slot 5750 or 5770? Is it for one of them lanparty carry it around tiny PCs? Either way it'd be LOUD. Fortunately for your ears no one makes a single slot 5750 or 5770 that I know of.

Single slot 5670 is better but still not silent. It'll have a squirrel cage fan like on the stock ATI cards. With fan control + undervolting it could be quiet.

5570 gets you an almost fanless single slot, maybe if you used fan controls or just disabled the fan it'd be quiet. This is the top of the line for single slot 5xxx ATI cards.

5550 fanlessgets you to single slot.

5570 fanless, 5670 fanless, and 5750 fanless are 2 slot (2 slot if you really need to cram it in but better if you leave some breathing room around it 3 slot if you strap a fan on and best in that case if there is a little space past the 3rd slot)

Dunno but if you are truly stuck to one slot and want something better than a 5670 you might have to wait until the next refresh like another 4 to 6 months?

A thermalright HR03 rev A is not single slot but you should be able have the cooler 'on top' of the graphic card instead of under.

I'll know next week (my 5770 is at RMA atm)

I just don't get why the HD 4850's were able to be cooled with an all copper single-slot HSF as well as 9800GT's which have a higher power draw yet ATI couldn't fit the 5750/5770's with one. Many of the 9800GT's with the single-slot heatpipe cooler were silent enough as they cooled pretty danged well.

If it weren't for my Pci Wifi card in the PCI slot behind the Pci-E x16 slot that'd be doable.

This is for a Shuttle SG31G2 Shuttle. Atm I do have a modified side panel to allow my VF900cu to properly sit on my XFX 9800GT but I've already had a few douche bags touch the fan because it sticks out so I'm really not digging the exposed fan so I'd rather have it all safely tucked in the case.

I could get one of those Rosewill USB Wifi adapter with the SMA antenna connector and modify it to take the Wifi port in the back of my case freeing up the Pci slot for use with an HR-03 but I just don't want to spend the extra $40 on another aftermarket HSF right now as opposed to just paying the $120 - $160 for a 5750/5770 and just changing the fan on the heatsink with something a little quietter. I could prob deal with modding the other side panel I have for my Shuttle to accomodate a standard 60 - 80mm fan as I can put a fan grill on the outside of the fan to keep morons fingers out of it at lanparties while I'm takin a piss.

It probably can but it seems that people want more silent coolers these days.
