Matrox G400 MAX

Does anyone have any experience with this old card? Unlike its sibling cards from the era it has a small fan mounted on it to cool the GPU. Can someone give me any subjective impressions of the acoustic characteristics of this fan? I'm thinking of picking one of these cards up to drive an old CRT monitor since I have read that they have the absolute best analog VGA output.

I had one years ago -- might still have one -- but it did not have a fan. They run cool enough that you could just stick a quiet 80mm fan perpendicular to it (parallel to the motherboard, straddling the video card) and run the fan really slow. Or just replace the heatsink with a bigger taller one -- lots of ways to do this.
