I ordered an MZ915-M from eBay to be my livingroom HTPC and the unit's GMA900 video does not do HDCP so I'm going to get a video card for it but while I'm at it I want the video card to be able to do CoD4 decently @ 720P but at the same time handle HDCP on a family members 480P HDTV when I go over to their house and their TV has no VGA, DVI or HDMI connectors but does have component and S-Video.
Can someone point me to the fastest low profile Pci-E video card that requires no 6-pin connector and has either Component video support or S-Video?
So far, the fastest thing I've found is an XFX 9500GT with 512mb GDDRIII clocked at 550mhz GPU and 1600mhz memory so it's a little faster than the 8600GT's 540/1400 reference spec though the card will supposedly do 8600GTS 675/2000 in most cases though big whoop, a few tiny extra FPS.

I just purchased the XFX 9500GT but I'm still interested if there is something else that is faster so if anyone thinks of anything pelase let me know
Fastest low-pro Pci-E video card with S-Video or Componet?

Sparkle makes a low profile GTS250 [basically a slower, low profile, lower power 9800GTX]. Newegg

Yeah, but no S-Video or Component out or dongle and it takes a 6-pin Pci-E connector I was looking at the Galaxy 9600GT before I noticed 6-pin required and the card is too long for my system I think.Shobai wrote:Sparkle makes a low profile GTS250 [basically a slower, low profile, lower power 9800GTX]. I was kinda hoping there was an HD 4650 or 4670 with GDDR3 in a low profile card with S-Video or component out or dongle but I've not found anything yet. I did find a Visiontek HD 4650 with S-Video but it has GDDR2 and is slower in most cases than the 9500GT :-/

If it turns out to be tricky to find the card you want with the outputs you want, there's also the route of getting some kind of external converter box/cable.
