Fix or repair Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 GPU cooler fan?

I have an old system I'd like to give away. It's a socket 939 system with an XFX GeForce 6600GT GPU, with an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 6 Rev 2 cooler. The fan bearings of the GPU cooler gave up the ghost a loooong time ago, and now the system sounds like a lawn mower.

Any quick fixes? I don't have the original cooler. In fact, I think I may have added the Arctic Cooling when the original on the video card died.

If not, a new (old) GPU may be the cheapest solution.

AGP or PCI-e version?

As it so happens, I have an old T-bird setup that I really need to recycle and it has the passive Gigabyte 6600 AGP...can't remember without pulling the card out if it's GT or not. You can have the card if you pay the shipping. :)

Thing runs hot but never ever had issues.

The motherboard is an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium, so PCIe.

It's tough to tell from the pictures in this old review, but the fan is 72mm, so the heatsink is no more than 60mm on the longer dimension. I'd say remove the plastic shroud assembly and just strap a fan onto the heatsink...but...tiny fans are typically high rpm. Here's two possibilities:
Noctua NF-A6x25 60mm $15. 1600rpm with ULNA resistor

Scythe Mini-Kaze SY602012L $6. 2500rpm.

I'd try an old CPU heatsink on it if you have one spare. Even at 5V the cooling on a 45W graphics card will be fine.

I had a 2GHz Athlon64 (with Thermalright 92 mm cooler) on that mobo with 6600gt (and Aerocool VM-101 on it). For a cooler replacement, if shipping is not too expensive:
