In brief: Great 1440p/low 2160p, Performance is between GTX1080 and 1080 Ti. Does not support SLI. 175-185W TDP, but OEM stock OC'ed cards will use more at high loads. HDMI 2.0b and Display Port 1.4a. Supports dual link DVI-D but not analog. Requires one 8-pin PCIe Graphics power connector, but OEM designs may use more. Dimensions stated as: a" x b" x c" are from mfgr websites - others are from reviews. Multimonitor idle bug fixed via 416.81 driver. Now uses 15W instead of 40W.

The MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Gaming Z by the reviews you posted steve, seems to be one of the best if not the best one, very low noise and good temps.

I feel its making you some sign that wants to come your home steve.

Heh.

A bit of a vent...
I'm pretty disappointed by this round of Nvidia releases. Yeah, performance went up, but so did power use..and prices. Not sure why anyone would buy the RTX 2080...Then, add in the idle and multimonitor idle power bugs. Good lord, how many times does this lack of downclocking have to happen between both Nvidia and AMD's product generations?

I do have my doubts into what AMD will release next year, not sure if 7nm Navi might catch nvidia, hope it does, but i somewhat think that AMD will care more to compete with the RTX2070 GTX2060/2050.

The multimonitor bug might be fixable with drivers, in the past with my MSI GT72, i had issues with some drivers not allowing the GTX680M to downclock, even when the intel GPU was in use, but some drivers did work fine, just not all of them.

About the pricing, i think its here to stay, not even if AMD becomes competitive, Nvidia already broke the market and the GTX2080Ti are going in seconds, even if its a very small niche market, they will simply have a bigger scale with more models of gpus to fit all budgets, if AMD manages to make navi really competitive they will simply undercut nvidia but remain with in the price range, as AMD did with threadripper vs skylakeX. Probably nvidia will have GTX1060 and Ti versions, or maybe even GTX1065 or so, and have more GPUs to scale down the pricing for all budgets.

Interesting article over at GamersNexus. Nvidia is selling two grades of the 2070 for stock and OC. One little hidden nugget is the EVGA XC Ultra card's fans will run down to 600rpm (when not off). That could make for a quiet card..
