Convection cooled Macs

Post by Dirge » Sun Mar 13, 2005 9:05 am

Hi, I want to create a list of silent Macs, preferably those using convection rather than fans for cooling.

The first Macs - the 128K and the 512K had no hard drives and were convection cooled like the Cubes and early iMacs.

The following models can be considered for silent computing.

Classic Macs
Macintosh 128k
Macintosh 512k
Macintosh Plus

iMac
Slot Loading (CD-ROM)
Summer 2000
Early 2001
Summer 2001

Power Book
Power Book 5300

Power Mac G4 Cube
450/500 mhz Cube

I'm not sure, but I think the 20th Anniversary Mac may have been fanless.
