Zotac ZBOX HD-ND22 replacement

Post by Henk Poley » Wed Dec 21, 2011 12:02 am

This spring I bought a Zotac ZBOX HD-ND22 for a MythTV frontend. Now I want a second frontend, but I see the ND22 is not available anymore. Would somebody know a reasonable equivalent/replacement?

Requirements:
* h.264 acceleration under Linux. aka, preferably an NVidia or maybe an Intel GPU.
* CPU faster than Atom, so it's able to fall back to CPU for the odd old codec. Celeron SU2300 was right on spot.
* Smallish, current PC in there is a mini-ITX sized box.
* Silent'ish (the ND22 has annoying coil-noise though)
* barebone €240/$260, more if HD and RAM included.

I'll be looking around by myself of course, but any tips would be nice.

--Edit--

Putative shopping list:
* € 140,50 Zotac IONITX-P-E
* € 69,15 Antec ISK 300-65 (reviewed here)

Total: €209,65

Additional:
* €20,00 Transcend 4GB
* €46,80 Vertex Plus 30GB (I'm using "only" 4,5GB anyways)

I have a ( windows-based for netflix ) TV setup with:
* Zotac IONITX-P-E
* Antec ISK 300-65
* Intel value 40G SSD

and it works great, though I didn't end up getting the case fan as quiet as I wanted, even with a fan swap.
