I know of one UK guy who got his imported. I mailed him about it, and he said that he knew one UK watercooling vendor was getting them in, but they haven't materialised yet. I'm giving serious thought to importing two of the revision 2 pumps, but I know soon after they arrive, they'll appear on someone's website...
The power used by the pump is low enough to be safely supplied by a motherboard fan header. One of the Mk2 improvements was to add motor rpm sensing (just like a fan) that culd be used by MBM for shutting the computer down if the pump stopped working. I think there may have been other changes like going to a harder anodization for the aluminum.dan wrote:how does mark II improve on the original?
also, why does it use a 3-pin fan connector rather than 4-pin 12v PSU molex?
do you know how much will it cost? the original is like $35.
i'm thinking of buying the original, though i guess i can wait
the 3-pin connector makes me nervous, as most pumps have to use direct 120v AC, and the 4-pin PSU 12v molex def. will supply more power than a mere 3-pin connector. noise properties and long-term reliability are another aspect.

But that's for us here in the states. I don't know about the UK.Danny @ D-Tek wrote:Hi Edward,
The MarkII is quite a ways away. It is still in prototype and design mode. If you would like to wait we can do that. It is going to be a couple months at the most.
Thanks,
Danny
