What is the quietest 240mm AIO?

Post by Outaluck » Thu Feb 12, 2015 9:53 pm

Hi all,
Trying to find the best AIO for low noise. Hard to find any current info on the newest ones and seems a lot of conflicting info on the older models. Any recommendations from users on whether they can compete with the big airs?

Swiftech 220x or Predator 240 probably the most silent because of the PWM pump they use. I find the pumps to be the biggest issue. Overall a custom loop is much more silent with something like a D5 PWM pump like i use. Dead silent.

General opinion here is that for silence big air coolers will always beat water cooling. There is no need for a pump so the noise floor can be much lower.

Though they also sport some not good sounding fans (respectively Helix and Vardar).
The Fractal Kelvin 24 is an interesting option, but IMHO it wouldn't be competitive, noise-wise, with (to say) a Ninja 4.
