Manual fan control and Cool & Quiet?

I plan on using the Cool & Quiet feature on my newly ordered Asus A8N-E motherboard. I used a fan controller in my previous system but not Cool & Quiet. Are there reasons why I might still want to use a fan controller in addition to Cool & Quiet on my new build?

Can't comment on the A8N-E but I just finished build a with the Asus A8V and 'Cool and Quiet' does NOT have any affect on the fan speed, just the processor voltage. So a manual fan controller in combo with 'Cool and Quiet' would have been the only way for me to take advantage of it to lower noise. Since my set-up is quiet enough already with my Nexus fans running full speed, I decided to leave it alone.
