New PC Advice

Hi

I'm planning to make myself a new pc. Here are the specs:

case - Antec Solution Slk3700amb
motherboard - ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
cpu - AMD (Venice) Athlon 64Bit 3000+
ram - 2x 1Gb DDR400
harddrive - 2x Seagate ST3250824A 250GB Barracuda
graphics card - PNY GeForce 6500 256mb DDR2 PCI-E

Will this pc be quiet and will the psu in the case be powerful enough as its only a 350w ?

Appreciate any advice.

Welcome to SPCR!

That's a pretty low powered system: 350W, even ATX1.3, is more than enough.

All SPCR'ers use Samsungs, and if you're looking for a 250GB drive, why look elsewhere? The Seagates aren't as good as they used to be in the good ol' Barracuda IV days, and Samsung is currently the silent king.

Edit: and I'm supposing that that graphics card is passive.

Why the SLK3700AMB?

The S12-430 or even the S12-380 will be enough for that rig.

Hi

I decided to get this case anyway. It has a 120mm fan at the back and has a section at the front for another.

Can anyone recommend some good 120mm fans front and back?

I take it good means silent in this context? Nexus/Yate Loon/Scythe DF fans, available from www.jab-tech.com.
