Hi all,
I installed a x2 3800 socket 939 in my A8N-SLI Deluxe and the MB will not POST. Dead CPU? The MB runs fine with my single core 3800. I am using BIOS ver. 1805 at the moment, tried the same thing with ver. 1016 also.
Thanks!

According to the Asus support site Bios 1013 and later support the 3800 X2, so you might have a dead CPU. Do you know someone else with a 939 board you can try it in?

Most likely, it is a bad CPU.
Some unlikely possibilities:
- You installed the CPU incorrectly
- Your PSU is not up to the task
