Which case should I get?

Post by gnusmas » Thu Jan 11, 2007 6:59 am

Hi,

I'm putting together this system and was wondering which case I should get that would be both silent and compatible with what I've listed below

Case:?? (I was considering the Sonata II but the PSU isn't SLI compatible. Should i simply change the PSU or look for another case altogether?)

Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-E SLI NF680i

Processor: C2D E6400 or E6600

Memory: 800MHZ DDR2 (2x 1024)

Hard Drive: SEAGATE BARRACUDA 400G 7200 16M

Video Card: BFG 8800GTS 640MB

Optical Drive: DVD-/+RW DL 16X

Thanks for your help

Edit: Never mind I'm going with the P180

I would reccomend the same as my case, the antec solo.
It comes without a psu and that is the only difference between this and a p150
I run a nexus real silent psu-it is very quiet when there is no load on it, however if you wanted to spend more, you could get completely quiet psu's.

I think that the P180 is overkill for your system -- and the Solo would actually be better, with it's HD suspension.

The Seagate HD is not really quiet, btw. Samsung or Western Digital are better. Is the mobo northbridge passively cooled? What about a quiet GPU HSF?
