Yate Loon fans...
My GF's pc needs to have new fans put in it,a nd im pretty sure there 800mm fans. My goal is to repalce the fans with something that is cheap and quiet not silent. I would like this thing to be as quiet as possible, but I have no budjet for 10-15$ fans.
Running the Yate Loon fans at 12 volt, will the be loud?
My idea of loud is a stock AMD cooler fan running at full bore...

True there expensive fans but well worth it for the slience. I was willing pay a premium for them. I use all nexus fans in my computer and one S-Flex 1200 rpm But I hear good things about Yate loon. One thing to comnsider is the quality and longtivity of lower cost fan. SPCR has the Nexus on the recommend list this why the I suggested it. I would avoid the the Panaflo as the quality varies now days.

well, if you get a cheaper fan that is slightly louder [but by single digit dB differences] go cheaper and undervolt. it'll last just as long as the more expensive one, and be quieter, maybe even push more air [although not always true].
id rather buy louder and undervolt because then i don't have to worry about it anymore. it never fails me. i have 4 fans in my system right now, and you can only hear the CPU fan [which one even be in much longer because i'm waiting for a ninja to arrive].
fan life is also determined by a constant heat basis..unless you're fans motors get really hot, life expectancy can be higher than what's on paper.
