Hi all.
My questions are these.
Are all dvd burner drives for notebook/laptop low power.
What brand is low power and noice.
I hope you can help a novice when it comes to power usage.

I doubt anyone considers this an issue because of the amount of time it's in use versus the amount of time the pc is on.
Also - A reading laser users less power than a burning/writing laser.

I measured a difference of 1W at the wall when I disconnected a Samsung SATA DVD writer.
