I'm trying to figure out if the Nvidia 9800's are backwards compatible with a plain PCI express x16 slots. Most of the 9800's say that they are "PCI Express 2.0 x16". I figure thats different than my board.

Could use some tips!

Yes. PCIe 2.0 cards are compatible with PCIe 1.0 slots.
