I did the searching and know a 10.5 inch card will fit into the solo but I can't for the life of me find the length of the cards themselfs.
Anyone happen to know if the Sapphire 4870 1gb toxic will fit?

9.5" -- all the 4780s should be the same length. It's the 4780x2 that's bigger, like the GTX280/260: 10.5".

Thanks Mike.
I thought the non standard card with more memory and non stack cooler might be a bit longer.

No one varies much from the stock PCB design -- it's too expensive to redesign or mod & test, the product life cycles are too short.
