Please help w/ NSK3480 build - routing SATA pwr cables

Post by Driveman-32 » Thu Dec 04, 2008 9:23 pm

I'm building a system in an NSK3480 right now. I'm trying to put an SATA hard drive and an SATA DVD drive in the upper chamber.

There are two SATA power cables, with 2 connectors each. One is very close to where the cable goes into the power supply, and the other is of course at the end of the cable.

It seems like the connectors by the power supply are just slightly too close to it to reach the power jacks on either drive. What do I do? I don't want to try too hard and break something. The only thing I can think of is to use the connector at the end of each cable, and ignore the other ones. The only problem with that is that I wouldn't be able to connect any SATA devices in the lower chamber in the future.

Is there anybody else with an NSK3480 who can give me some advice? This is my first build.

Never mind, I went and bought a little extension/splitter cable.
