OK, I've built my new DAW (Windows 7 64 bit, i7 860 CPU, Prolimatech Megahalems Rev. B heatsink Gigabyte P55A-UD4P M/B, 4GB Corsair DDR3 1333 XMS 3 RAM, Gigabyte 9800GT Silent Cell video card, 80GB Intel G2 SSD, 1TB Samsung F3 hard drive (suspended), Lite-On IHAP 322 DVD/CD writer, Seasonic X-650 PSU, Antec Solo case, Nexus 120mm rear fan, Noctua NF-B9 front fan, Scythe KazeMaster 3.5 dual fan controller).
So - can I please get some help with what software I need to benchmark and stress test all the components? I take it I'll need:
1. CPU-Z
2. CPU Burn
3. Prime 95
4. GPU-Z
5. Furmark
6. ATITool
7. SpeedFan (to monitor temperatures)
Will these all work with Windows 7 64 bit - if not what should I get instead?
Are there any freeware hard drive benchmarking programs?
Anything else I should get?
Any recommendations for doing this testing regime systematically, and minimising the chance that I'll damage something?
The system is at stock clock, and I've no immediate intention of doing any overclocking - I just want to make sure that everything is running right and that temperatures are OK.
Thanks!
PS: I'll do a full report on the build in the General Gallery once I've done the benchmarking.
