Antec Mini P180 200mm Fan for H20 Cooling?

Post by JackyPerformance.com » Sun Oct 03, 2010 7:06 am

Putting a 200mm radiator above this fan seems like a good idea, but not sure a radiator can be sandwiched between the fan and the top of the case. Those of you that have the Antec Mini P180, how much lower can you move the 200mm fan without hitting anything?

You can't. If you need watercooling, get a different case, really.

so there is not enough space to sandwich a thin 200mm radiator between the top of the case and the fan? Or is it some other reason it won't fit?

uh...good question..becasue if u have a radiator that means u have a water block which means you have no huge CPU heatsink, which is the limiting factor I believe. it would be interesting to see if any components on the mobo would hit the 200mm fan if u drop it down more..

I just measured today and the answer is NO, a 200mm radiator will not mate flush with 200mm Antec fan if placed between fan and top of case. So, a smaller top fan with a sealed funnel would be the only way to have that configuration working properly...and so my modding mayhem begins...
