Like it says in the title.

Yes there are some.
Acer Predator XB1 XB271HU bmiprz 27" 16:9 IPS Monitor
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 27" Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Gaming Monitor
Now if you want ultra wide, there are none on 1440p, you can find on 1080p.

It seems that they both have horrible quality control issues.

There are ton of people that are extremly picky, also people dont understand coming from TN pannels that while the colors are much better and the viewing angles, there are draw backs like IPS glow.Tilltech wrote:It seems that they both have horrible quality control issues.
One of my friends bought the acer, and it was perfect, at least to my eyes, no dead pixels, the ips glow was moderate, there was not that much backlight bleed, that said in monitors with any brand its a flip of the coin, a lot tend to return the first to see if they can get a better one.... i never return a monitor in my life, and probably bought 20 monitors in the last 5 years.
Again depends on how picky are you, those two are what people call the creme of the crop in terms of all the things you are looking for, there are no others that i know, and they problably use the same panel, up to you if you want to take your gamble on them.
Whatever you do, if you decide to go with either, buy them on a place that has a good return/exchange policy.

What happens if you get a 4k monitor but run it at 1440p instead?
As HDR monitors are coming out, they are all 4k, at least those with Gsync.

Two other monitors are the XG2703-GS from ViewSonic and AGON AG271QG from AOC.
The image will be softer and blurry if you run a 4K monitor at a lower resolution. How much differ between monitors and if it will bother you or not depends on how sensitive you are to it, I run some games at 1080p on my 1440p monitor and it looks OK to me.

Ugly is what happens. CRTs handled running at lesser resolutions well, LCD-type display less so. Unless you set it exactly quarter the res (1080p instead of 4K), it will be an ugly blur. Try it out with your current display!Tilltech wrote:What happens if you get a 4k monitor but run it at 1440p instead?

The other option is to set the GPU to not scale the picture, then you would only be using the central 1440p pixels. Also very far from ideal.
Re: Is there such a thing as 1440p, 144Hz, G-sync, IPS monit
It is so stupid of them to release only 4k HDR monitors when we know that it is almost impossible to run games at that resolution and at high setting at 60fps, let alone at 144 or 120.
