They've done it for quite a while now. I got the all plastic HSF clips with my Pentium E6300 which I bought back when it was first released back in Q2'09. Alas, that means no more fan mods...

Oh, that.
Already read that during the weekend. As far as I'm aware, they've already replaced the fake Core i7's and found the culprit.
