I've been running this board for some time, but haven't managed to get 1080p from the onboard graphics, although it runs fine at 1080i. Has anyone here had any luck getting it to run at 1080p? If so, how?

Yes. CCCP (a filter pack, includes just about everything) + CoreAVC (a really fast H.264 decoder) works wonders. 1080p shouldn't be a problem for the onboard X1250. I'm running an X2 5000+ though, and HD video consumes ridiculous amounts of CPU time. How's your CPU usage when you (try to) view 1080p?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. My problem is the x1250 not managing it. Even just the Windows desktop flickers and drops in and out. I was thinking maybe a later BIOS might help (I'm on 0502), but I could be way off base.

Oh. o_O That's weird, I think I remember my m2a-vm running 1080p. I didn't even update the BIOS or anything. However, it's been a while since I used that particular computer as I sort of gave it away so I'm not so sure.

More than likely a driver issue. Try updating your drivers to the latest version. You may also have to add a custom resolution in the CCC.
