Just this: Which pumps out more heat, a 2.4 Ghz AMD64 Newcastle, or a 2 Ghz Athlon-XP Thoroughbred? Since AMD only ever states max output, it's too much for my little brain to compute.

Newcastle, I'd venture, but I bet the dif is pretty small -- well under 10W at max load, which means in real use, it may almost never show up, esp if you use CnQ.
