CrystalCPUID and DFI NF3 250GB

Post by waters10 » Thu Sep 22, 2005 3:12 pm

I'm trying to get CrystalCPUID to work with this mobo and the multiplier part of it works fine! I can set any multiplier and CPU-Z instantly detects the new clock.

But I can't get the voltage part to work. I'm not sure what's the problem here. I'm wondering if I must use the right BIOS/CrytalCPUID combo to get this working.

Any insights?

Thanks!

Yeah, I read your post. I really really don't want to install OS again ... I've done that like 3-4 times in the past 3 weeks. And being an HTPC, there's ton of applications, drivers, small tricks ....

Which bios are you using? What version of crystalCPUID are you using? Did you install the a64 driver? Did you enable CNQ in bios? Are you overclocking?

Sorry for so many questions! Thanks!

I couldn't get CnQ to work on my DFI NF3. I couldn't get CrystalCPUID to work on my DFI NF3. But I was able to get RMClock to work just fine and absolutly stable. http://cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock.shtml

Just be sure to check "registered RAMs" (IIRC) in the advanced section. And deinstall everything from AMD.

I'll go check RMClock. Just one question, what kind of voltage options do you get with that program? I'm overvolting/overclocking (I know, opposite path of most SPCR users!) and would love to have same options I have on the bios!

And which bios version are you guys using? I'm using the latest official one: 05/04.

Thanks

Bios I believe is dated 6/23/2005, haven't upgraded since, for the fear of upsetting something.

CrystalCPUID is version 4.4.5.256.

A64 driver is NOT installed.

CNQ is set to AUTO in the bios.

Multiplier is set to AUTO in the bios (running 230x10, so yes I'm overclocking).

FWIW I am using a 3200+ DTR CG stepping, and PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 510.

HDD's installed are 2x7200.7 200GB'ers, using SATA ports closest to the AGP slot, and SCSI using LSI U160 PCI card.

GFX card is Matrox P650.
