ASUS Q-Fan: What about Gigabyte?

Post by Spag » Thu Sep 29, 2005 4:16 am

Hello,

I'm tempted to buy a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-K8N Ultra-9 ou GA-K8N Pro-SLI, we'll see), but I really like the Q-Fan on my ASUS K8V SE Deluxe...

Is there a similar feature on Gigabyte motherboards?

Thanks!

I was going to say that software control might work, but I searched and found this.

This is from the Gigabyte K8N Ultra-9 user manual:
CPU Smart FAN Control: (Enabled by default)

a. When the CPU temperature is higher than 60 degrees Celsius, CPU fan will run at full speed.
b. The speed of CPU fan will increase linearly depend on the temperature if the temperature is more than 50 degree and less than 59 degree.
c. When the CPU temperature is lower than 50 degrees Celsius, CPU fan will run at low speed.
