Mobos with 2 or more speedfan contralable fan headers?

Post by knutinh » Tue Oct 31, 2006 5:17 am

My 3 latest mobos was Asus. All of those had only one fan header controllable by speedfan, the latest I cannot get to work with suspend/S3.

Time to switch manufacturer me thinks. So, as long as the table at the speedfan website seems incomplete. What is the manufacturer to look to for good, stable, firewire-equipped mobos for intel core2 processors that can control at least 2 fans?

The Asus P5W DH Deluxe has five fan headers, all controllable from SpeedFan. It's pricey though.

Just to clarify, there are 5 fan headers, but only 3 control groups.

1 control of the single CPU fan header.
2 controls each have a pair of headers.

You can monitor individual fan speeds, but the controls affects all headers in the group equally.
