I only had it briefly and since the DVI didn’t recognise my monitor I didn’t bother to look into the Speedfan issue.
Did you manage to get Speedfan to control both fan headers?

was it just putting analog over DVI? or is it a pure DVI connection?
maybe your monitor is DVI-D only?

sorry not sure if iwas being unclear
there are two types of DVI
DVI-I (Integrated) - which has the same VGA analog signal passed through it (this is what happens if you use a convertor)
and DVI-D - which only had the digital circuitry - it will pick up nothing on the analog side
for instance my dell monitor is dvi-d only...if i used a convertor and passed a VGA signal to the DVI port it wouldn;t work as it only has connections on the digital side of the DVI port...

I was using a DVI output with a DVI cable to a DVI input so I don’t think the analogue issue that you refer to is the problem.
All the components work individually with other systems just not together.

Those having this motherboard should check out the F3 Bios. Gigabyte added a 2.66 multiplier for 800 fsb processors.
It's a great addition for my E2140. I can run a lot higher clocks now.
I know we're at SilentPCR but if you can combine it with a little bit of overclocking it's even nicer.

Good news, I wish they’d do the same for my G33M-S2.
Edit. I just installed the latest F6 BIOS and it also has the 2.66 Multiplier.
