Has anyone GA-MA790FX-DS5 motherboard?

Could this board be a solid base for building a quiet PC?
If it's true that AMD 790FX consumes 10W and it would be used with BE-2400 - then maybe yes.

What do you think?

It sounds great in theory, but check the reviews--my impression is that although the chipset is rated for 10W, the existing 790 boards consume way more than that for some reason.

Yes, we should wait a while. I didn't find review with Athlons X2 BE. The first reviews have Phenoms (and overclocked Phenoms) and these are not energy efficiant jet.

I have my fingers crossed.
