Mobo choice ?

For a new build with E8500 (might wanna do some OC).

ASUS P5Q PRO P45 S-775 ATX

or

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R S-775 ATX

or something else?

You do not gain much with P45 over the cheapest G31 or P35 except extra power consumption (+3 W idle, +6 W TDP).

EP45-UD3R, cheaper better newer

TDP not a problem, undervolt the MCH
